CREEPY One Direction fans fantasise about two of the group becoming gay dads

A few Directioners have developed fantasies about gay romances between members of the band

A trailer from new documentary Crazy About One Direction shows how followers have invented a gay relationship between Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.

In their fantasy, the boyband members also have a baby.

The Channel 4 programme, due to be screened next Thursday, opens up the strange world of fandom.

An offshoot group of fans, who called themselves “Shippers”, have developed fantasies about gay romances between members of the band.

They post lurid mocked-up pictures and stories online detailing Harry and Louis’s “affair”, which they have dubbed the Larry Stylinson romance.

The fantasies have so angered Louis that he hit back at the “********” rumours in a rant on Twitter.

He claimed the stories had affected the way he and Harry act around each other in public.

The documentary also sees young girls discussing the size of the boys’ willies.

But it is the threats of violence made by teens which will shock viewers most. Some of the band’s fans – known as Directioners – say they are prepared to kill to get close to idols Harry, Liam Payne and Niall Horan, all 19, plus Zayn Malik, 20, and 21-year-old Louis.

Others have threatened to kill themselves unless the stars follow or befriend them on sites like Twitter.

And a gaggle of fans are seen knocking on a hotel door, with one girl later tweeting: “I was outside your room while you were sleeping, Zayn.”

Another is seen talking about “fiercely loyal” Directioners, and claiming: “I’m part of a fandom that could kill you if they wanted.”

And one insisted: “I will stop at nothing to get close to the boys.”

One girl is seen posting chilling death threats on line and sobs: “I would like to see Harry Styles dead.”

Producer Daisy Asquith defended the documentary’s tone, insisting: “There are drama queens in the fanbase who threaten to kill themselves.

“But a lot of the girls I spoke to are not silly or crazy.

“They are very knowing about their activities on Twitter.

“To them, putting every single thought online is entirely normal.”

Executive producer Tayte Simpson of Mentorn Media added: “One Direction’s use of social media to diarise their inner thoughts gives fans a sense of intimacy and ownership, fuelling strong emotions.”

Crazy About One Direction, Thursday, 10pm on Channel 4.

Might give this a watch, as someone who keeps an eye on the fandom (1D being a guilty pleasure) I can say that, Larry aside, they are quite insane. One account I came across on Twitter is where the girl pretends to be Harry Styles, but a self-harming Harry Styles who cuts over Louis. I'm serious.

Should be a funny if not spooky watch.

You do get these extreme fans in every fandom, although I find it more strange with things that actually exist, such as One Direction. At least with things like Harry Potter, people are supposed to use their imagination etc
