Default Buying a Tablet, any suggestions?

I'm going out shopping to buy a Android tablet for my brother tomorrow for Christmas, yes already!

Budget is around £100-£130 but closer to the £110 mark.

I was thinking of the HP Slate tablet but just wondering if anyone would suggest + any other suggestions.:

    Thanks!

I don't know how much the 2013 version is but have a look at the new Nexus 7.

I was going to suggest the Nexus 7 earlier but it is a bit out of range. I would definitely try to get it though as it punches way above it's price range for quality.

Edit: Kindle fire is right in your price range and is reportedly very good. It's far from stock android though.

Last years Nexus 7 is also a decent product at about £130 on Amazon.

Personally I think you would be best saving that little bit more and going for the new Nexus 7; I have been tempted to purchase one for my travels.

Last years nexus 7 is really good I'd recommend it. If you don't mind going slightly over budget you should get the new nexus 7.

I'm not too familiar with tablets but I have a Samsung Tablet. Seems to work alright.
I think I'm going to look into the Nexus. It's been mentioned a few times.
