Default Why not recolour other classic rares?

What do you think the reasoning is behind all the Ice Cream Maker recolours where it seems to be getting to the point of unreasonableness when there are so many other classic rares they could recolour??

They could recolour fans, laser gates, oriential screens, pillars, smokes, parasols or even create new 2x2 rare floor furni which isn't flat ie petal patch, snow patch.

I don't think it could be that bad for the economy right? Like rare dragons have remained pretty stable even with all the recolours? Do you think it's good they avoid remaking all rares?

Tbh I wouldn't mind some new coloured parasols. I think there are already enough marquee/pillar/laser gate colours and that's why I got sick of them recolouring pillows + ICMs also

Wouldn't mind the red mono I sent in to them ages ago . But I agree with you, I don't think there's room for anymore ICMs now and as mentioned there's only like 5 parasol colours so they could make another 1 or 2 of them.

The recolours they've so far done of the Dino Egg for example are utter rubbish. The Pillow recolours have been good though.

Ohh and forgot to mention the bird baths, I think the mystic one is great even if it does have a crystal instead of water and there's room for more recolours of that e.g. Black.

I'd prefer if they were more original than recolouring, but some recolours, especially of more rare ones could be quite cool

i do prefer rare sets, as opposed to random one off rares. one of the main things that gives an item value is if it can be useful within casinos. having the mystic fountain and ninja dragon didn't work because they are not the same template and have small differences (e.g. the crystal, and the dragon had a different coloured base).

i think aiming to collect all of a rares colour can be quite a fun challenge, havin different varietys of the same rares pushes up the price as you'll have other people with a different colour trying to collect a set. i think it is a struggle for designers now to come up with something that 'looks' valuable, and be quite basic at the same time. pillow are just a one coloured seat, however they also managed to look elegant. having some large ugly furni with loads of features can completely ruin the image. the throbbing fountain would be quite nice without that giant egg yolk in the middle.

Just replying to what I've bolded, I agree that it probably would have been better with water on top but it does still look really nice with an item stacked above it i.e. hiding the crystal, e.g. dragon egg on top of the fountain .

But either way, I also agree that collecting sets makes it a little more fun! Like how I finally managed to own the oriental screen set not too long ago :L.

I would if you could recolour some furni, but then if it's like a rare it won't be that rare anymore, really.

re-colouring rares i think is so stupid all its doing it making the classic rares fall in prices, such as the dino egg.
