Raced how many years with no serious injuries. Goes skiing and suffers serious head injuries on a rock.
Just shows how safe F1 is at the moment!
Hope he gets well soon!
He did break a leg back in 1999 in F1, but the point still stands in how safe the sport is...
When I heard the story initially I was very worried, seeing as there have ben a number of high profile deaths from skiing in the past few years, luckily though, it seems it's not as bad as initially reported. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery![]()
A leg break is definitely not serious though. You could break a leg by falling of a curb!He did break a leg back in 1999 in F1, but the point still stands in how safe the sport is...

There are a few news sites reporting its serious and other reporting it's only minor but it definitely doesn't sound as bad now as what was being reported!
Source: http://www1.skysports.com/f1/news/12...us-head-injury and other news websites.Former F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher is in a 'critical' condition following a skiing accident on Sunday morning.
Schumacher was flown by helicopter after the accident to Grenoble Hospital.
Although initial reports stated that Schumacher's injuries were not serious, the hospital reported at 10pm on Sunday night that the former Ferrari and Mercedes driver's condition had worsened and was now regarded as 'critical'.
The accident happened while the 44-year-old was skiing in the French resort of Meribel in the popular Three Valleys area.
It is understood he was wearing a helmet when he hit his head on a rock.
Schumacher's spokeswoman confirmed: "Michael fell on his head when he was on a private skiing trip in the French Alps.
"He was taken to hospital and is receiving professional medical attention. We ask for understanding that we cannot give out continuous information about his health.
"He was wearing a helmet and was not alone. No one else was involved in the fall."
Hope he pulls through
It doesn't look like a safe time for celebrities to be doing anything extreme at the moment (skiing isn't even extreme, haha).
Hopefully he pulls through, and lucky for him he was wearing his helmet.
bella ciao
It's not looking good. ;_;
bella ciao
Can't lose 2 speed enthusiasts in the space of 2 months!
Very sad time, hope he can pull through![]()
I will be utterly speechless if he passes away, I read the news this morning and it looked like it was just a bang on the head and he was fine... But this is just unreal now...
