Default Kay Burley's awful journalism (Sky News)

    http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014...n_4991410.html

An incredibly surreal scene developed in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday morning Sky News presenter Kay Burley gave live commentary on a violent media scrum as she chased after relatives of those on board missing flight MH370.

Two women ejected from a new conference for trying to unfurl a banner were bundled out and chased up escalators by the frenzied media scrum.

Burley could be heard shouting "I've lost my phone!" and "I should have gone to the gym!" as she ran up an escalator - the wrong way.

I watched this live, there was just a sense of unprofessionalism throughout her report. She was chasing two men who clearly spoke very little english and shouted repeatedly "do you know what happened, do you know what happened?" to which one man responded "I don't know, I'm really tired". Was cringing throughout most of it!

I see the vultures are pecking away for any juicy bits of flesh that could be considered news. I feel sorry for the relatives having to put up with the media and the authorities.

It's good to see some real journalism for once, the BBC and Sky News are usually so lame with the same recycled stories over and over and over again. I like Burley and her aggressive style of reporting too;- it's exactly what I want to see more of.

The news channels (BBC/Sky) should be doing a LOT more independent investigating rather than just repeating what Reuters or AP have issued.
