    Default VIP / Donator pricing

    Primarily aimed at Mr @Jin;

    The cost for both Habbox VIP (When it can be bought) and Habbox Donator as far as I can tell has remained constant pretty much since each were conceived. In the meantime inflation has raised server costs and competitions/events/tokens/anniversarys now hand out a crazy amount of VIP - also Habbox's userbase is much older than it was, meaning more disposable income. I would like to suggest that Habbox raises the price of both of these, the exact value value is irrelevant but £1.50 for donator and £2.50 for VIP doesn't sound unreasonable to me.

    Also I'd remove the other currency pricing, since everything is done via paypal it actually doesn't make a difference other than making donator currently 10p cheaper if you switch it to dollars.

    If it rised up - I wouldn't pay. Its a nice price which everyone is comfortable at.

    Don't your points clash with each other

    They give out stupid amounts of VIP through anniversarys, tokens, events and competitions etc so the value of VIP is lower than it used to be (as it used to be rare/hard to get them in a competition, now it's almost guaranteed you'd get it if you try)

    The fact they struggle to make money with VIP would surely mean they'd struggle even more if they put the price up?

    Whilst I agree that VIP could probably do with a price increase, why would you ever buy VIP when you can just win it?

    why rise price if it's easier to obtain

    older does not = more disposable income, especially disposable income to spend on habbox

    In terms of VIP given out, MOTM and SOTM don't get VIP each win any more so it's clear that measures have been taken to reduce the amount of VIP given out. I think that the pricing is fine as it is - when I saw this thread title I was actually expecting you to suggest reducing the price to persuade more to buy it . Having said that, I did think donator was £1.50 a month already and £1 is quite low - if it really needs to be increased then maybe £1 => £1.20 for donator and £1.50 => £2.00 for VIP/ltddonator would be more reasonable. I personally wouldn't raise the price of donator anyway.

    Well, my thinking is it now costs less per year to have blanket coverage of donator/vip therefore the amount you should pay for the paid months should go up.

    That's illogical though, we give loads more away for free easily so the people who will give us money can give us more?

    Well they're spending less per year on VIP so they have more money to spend.
