Default Legal advice - web development company owes me a few hundred

Basically I hired a web developer for a large sum paid monthly as I couldn't afford it all at once. The company has now went into administration and has no money and I'm left with a half finished website.

Does anyone know what my legal rights are in this case?

If theyre a limited company, ALL GONE
If they aren't and you want to push further, You will be taking HIM to court, not his company

I found out his companies number 07876008 http://companycheck.co.uk/company/07876008 also the guy's partner runs another company same address and everything http://companycheck.co.uk/company/08756044 - Would that mean anything. It just looks suspicious as if he's closed one web development company but opened a new one but put his wife as the owner instead.

Thats actually perfectly legal, My old boss at The Litten Tree (Coventry) (Lets see if he can see this hey )

Owned a pub, He'd get it into debt, By bad bills etc. Then he'd disolve it, start a new one.

Its not legal, but as long as you dont do it on purpose (obviously its a big grey zone)

Going to go and see the citizens advice bureau to see if they can give any advice. It was a bit of money otherwise I wouldn't be fussed

It really sucks. There should be protection from this especially if the guy is running another business exactly the same
