Google Ara Project.

Hi,

So recently I've been looking at what phone to get and as my contract doesn't end til next year I've been looking at ones which are not out til then.

My favourite that I have seen is the Google Ara project. Basically it is a modular phone. You can take each component out of the phone and change it. So basically you can create and update your mobile phone without having to change phone. Also the base unit is apparently only going to cost roughly $50.

I think this is a good think as you get choice and get to have a phone the way you want it.

What do you guys think?

I like the idea but I don't know if it will work at this point. One thing with smartphones is that a lot of phones do different things better so if you're able to decide exactly what specs etc. it could be interesting
