so on 3rd march i have my speaking and listening exam and idk what to do
my teacher agve me something to talk about and said to do
"changing ethics and moralities in female disney characters"
but idk how to start it or what to talk about in it lmao im just lost
the speech has to be 4 mins long and yeh
any help would be appreciated pls x whether its just a small idea of what to talk about or idk anything is helpful considering all ive got is the letter "T" and its been 24hrs ;l

if i was you i'd describe about what their role was in the older film, then do the same with a newer film and compare and contrast and probably repeat step a few times. make references to thing like history, voting, jobs etc. that'd definitely take up your time swiftly

we didn't do any of this when i was in school so im not rly sure what they're actually looking for? is it just a vast knowledge on it or to just chatter ha

Disney princesses are a product of their time and you can trace their evolution from damsel in distress to being kickass!! Look at them all individually and you can deffo see how the early princesses, (snow white, cinderella, sleeping beauty) are passive, and wait for their prince to come and rescue them. Their stories are centered around finding a man.
Then you make small improvements with belle/ariel. With Tiana, she actually has career aspirations, and merida is the first to not have a romance at all. You can deffo look into frozen because it is centered around true love of sisters rather than a man. It literally mocks the steroptype seen in old disney movies where princes and princess meet, fall in love and get married without knowing each other, with Anna and Hans deception. And also you could maybe compare malificent with sleeping beauty because they puts aurora's true love as malificent rather than philip.
There has been loads of stuff written up about this so you should have no prob getting material!
