when offline logging into forum

hiya i just noticed this.

when logging onto the forum (being offline), i am sure at the bottom of the forum you used to be able to view the users who were online but now you can't. shouldn't this be reverted back as i dont know about you, but whenever i have gone on forums (and not been a member) i have looked at the bottom and if there's no names there then i just think it's an inactive forum. that would for sure put me off signing up.
