doesnt that happen to everyone sometimes if they sleep too late

i had it quite a few times and i have a habit of cracking my neck bones or sth lol and once i cracked it the wrong way or sth and i couldnt move my head to 1 side for a day

just sleep on your non- hurting side and hopefully its better when u wake up

I get terrible back pain after sleeping sometimes and I find it's usually if I haven't moved much at work (as in tills). I'm not sure if you can use it on your neck, but I was given Ibuprofen Gel which might help. I also got told to do Pilates so I have no idea. However, usually I literally just have to pull myself out of bed through the pain. I would suggest Ibuprofen Gel though if you can use it on necks!

Get someone else to massage it for you.

I guess you could try painkillers but I think it sounds more like when you need to click your wrist or knee or something rather than pain from the actual muscle, just going on what you've described. Normally I'd say try to click it back into position but I'm a bit worried about someone doing that with their neck lol..
