Default I passed my Public Affairs module!

So, as part of my journalism course I have to undergo 5 module's,

    Media Law Court Reporting
    Media Law for journalists
    Public Affairs
    Shorthand at 60wpm
    News Reporting and Writing

Two days ago I submitted my final assignment and I've just received the news I've passed the module!

As a 23 year old who's attempting to break into the world of journalism, this is huge news as I'm one step closer to my degree!

It may not mean much to some of you but to me this is incredible, next week I have my shorthand exam and tomorrow I submit my final piece for news reporting.... ahhhh!

    ^_^

    Thank you, everyone!

Shorthand is a form of writing in symbols that spell full words or word groupings. It's used by print journalists in court so they can take notes as you're not allowed to take any recording devices in with you. I'll never use it after I've passed it, but in order to get the full qualification it's a requirement! Fingers crossed though.

    Very happy with myself!

You can teach me how to write shorthand, I've always wanted to do it!

Well done, Emma! You've gone from wanting to do theatre, to an admin course and journalism. I like how you've got good aspirations and want to do well, I love seeing things like this.

    Thanks guys!

I have news - I have now passed the Media Law module and I am 98% on court reporting too - the finish line is close.
@Tom; I've always wanted to do radio/journalism! I work for the BBC and they have paid for me to sit an NCTJ course through their academy, I am so blessed! Been doing it for a year now.

    xx

Aww! Good! I'm really glad you're getting what you want; hopefully you'll go far in journalism sitting the NCTJ course courtesy of the BBC! Is there a guaranteed job at the end of it?
