Sooooooooooooooo ive been looking forward to this for about 3 months, one of my favourite childhood films remade with a stellar cast and the one and only (bill Murray) as big bloo bear.

yes I am 26 but not Fs given, has anybody else seen it if so what are your thoughts?

If you haven't seen the original then you've had a very shadowed child hood!
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...it's learning to dance in the rain.

Adored the new film. Absolutely adored it. Jon Favreau has done a really good job at it and Mowgli is convincingly played - especially since most of the film is digital effects (you really don't notice it).

It's very different to the old film, it's much darker - but it's also got a sense of nostalgia and you can tell Favreau loves Disney. There's a bit in the film towards the end where an orchestra starts playing an upbeat, epic version of Bare Necessities and I began to actually tear up at that. So yes, nostalgia still very much plays a part, despite it being a very different film.

I went to see this with my partner the other day and we thoroughly enjoyed the film. The CGI in the film was mighty impressive, I am not overly keen on these "new' versions of the Disney Classics in general as they always tend to make them scarier and darker as @Mowgli mentioned. Next up Beauty and the Beast.

I have to say I didn't like it either. I will always prefer the original with the sing along. Saying that I would love to see a newer version of lion king (Not animated)
