Will CDs be taken off the shelves?

Music is everywhere. Accessed on the internet. Free. That's how most people get their music. If I said otherwise, I'd be lying.

Are CDs going to be taken off of the shelves, just like floppy disks? - Yeah, I know. So old that some of you may not know what they are. But that's the point! Are our grandkids (should you have children) even going to know what CDs are?

I dont think so. Theres still people who buy CD's and dont want to download online becausw they feel its unsafe.

I doubt it, not anytime soon anyway. I know I don't buy them but I can imagine there is still people out there that prefer to have the CD over using downloads or things like Spotify.

Doubt it, DVDs (including Blu-Ray) and Music CDs will be still on the shelves for some time.

I mean yeah CDs aren't used as much because of people downloading from the internet now so if they do stop selling CD's then they may as well stop selling DVDs too because lets face it almost everyone watches films online or go onto netflix etc.

People often like physical collections of stuff. I have for example a few blu ray steelbooks, special edition films. The good thing with physical media is you're not reliant on an internet connection e.g. if my internet is down i can still watch physical films.
