    Default Scared of Dogs

    Hi there my friends!

One of my best friends is really scared by dogs.
That's really annoying since I bought myself a puppy (American Stafford).

That friend visits my house at least once a week but now he is scared for the puppy (who is really cute).

    What can I do?

leave the dog outside or smth when they come over. my auntie just closes the kitchen door and leave the dog in there whenever my dad goes over there because he doesn't like them either.

sometimes the more time someone spends with a dog, the less scared they become of that dog so idk you could try that maybe

This is what I tell people. This is what I'd do tbh.

See if they'll spend time with in it, in a situation they're comfortable with and maybe in time they'll get used to the dog and won't be as scared. Or, just don't spend time in places the dog is so your friend won't have to be around it.

Well I don't want to lock my dog up in another room or something.

As well I want my friends to know that my dog is just part of me (and my house) so they have to deal with it.
But I don't know how I can do it on a good way.

I don't like dogs - don't like the unpredictability - and over time I have found myself being more jumpy around them.

Yesterday when I was walking to work a dog was standing at the end of someone's front gate but wasn't making a noise so when I caught it in the corner of my eye I nearly jumped. It's more the big ugly dogs I don't like, little ones I know I could boot if they attacked.
