And he said it's been out for less than a week! Can't you read?

PSP has been out in Japan for 6 months, DS has been out in Japan for 1 year (almost)
PSP has been out in USA for about 2 months DS has been out in US for about 5 months
PSP has been out in England for 2 weeks DS has been out for 3 months!

    Do the maths, kid.

DS has had almost triple the time to sell more.

    Idiot.

Week on week, the DS has been selling far more in Japan since the PSP's release, and in North America on and off since April (when 2 new DS colours were released).

If you're selling more in Japan, the likelyhood is that you're going to be winning the console war. Japan has the biggest and most flourishing games industry in the world.

Plus, DS sales are up even more in America as of late with the release of Nintendogs - over 250 000 units of the game were sold in the first week.

    From www.cube-europe.com:

"Nearly 15 percent of all DS owners bought Nintendogs in just a week, a virtually unprecedented adoption rate for any title on an established system," explained Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America's cult figure and executive vice president of sales & marketing. He said the game was also helping sell DS hardware. "Coupled with a price drop to $129.99, retailers are reporting DS sales up between one and a half and three times previous levels, and last week DS comfortably outsold our portable competitors."
