Being on death row can be lonely and scary. Sitting around in your cell hearing screaming and shouting that echoed through the corridor. It had in the end become quite comforting for Frank. He knew that he wasn't the only one feeling the pain of being in prison, he knew his time was coming... Sometimes in HMP Mammoth they had letters from family members and friends, Frank however, didn't have many letters.. his family and girlfriend had disowned him, and friends well... most had been put on the electric chair years ago. Frank did have a pen pal though, and he had received a letter the day before his death.

For this competition, I want you to write a letter to Frank acting as his pen pal. You can write some words of encouragement or reflect on memories with Frank. It's completely up to you (Like the previous competitions, please keep it PG)!

I hope everything is going well for you. It's almost Halloween, but I hope you aren't scared in there anymore. I hope you feel at peace with everything that is going on, but if not, I want to let you know that everything will be okay. Soon enough, you'll be as free as you possibly could, and you'll have the opportunity to do whatever you want, whenever you want. So, if you are ever having a bad day, just think about that. You'll be reunited with everyone you've lost in the past. I'll carve a pumpkin for you this Halloween maybe I'll even go trick-or-treating and collect some candy for you.
