    an update on the habbo homepage says
    The Alt Code Calamity Click below



    'Alt Code' names are NOT allowed, they are a temporary problem as a result of the resent upgrade and the tech boys are working on fixing it. These accounts cannot purchase credits or receive email support as the characters are not recognised.

    We are happy to rename any accounts that have Furni or Credits on them, just email our Player Support team via the Help Tool for assistance.
