    Thumbs up Gay/Lesbian : telling your parents/friends.

Ok, I've seen a few problems of this in my time ( I used to be a agony uncle on a website ) and I've seen quite a few on here, so I'll just say one thing about been gay, a lesbian, or bi.

    Remember these things:

    1) Been gay or lesbian or bi is JUST as normal as liking the opposite gender.
Whos to say liking the opposite gender is normal?

    2) Your parents will still love you just the same, they won't think any less of you.

    3) Your friends and family may take a bit of time to get used to it, but you have to remember your just as normal as anyone else.

Most people keep it to themselves which is fine too depending on how you feel about it.

But please remember your NOT strange, weird, un normal, a alien - you ARE NORMAL.

I'm not personally gay but a couple of my friends are, and I don't treat them any different to I treat any of my other friends..

    The first 'feeling'

Ok, one day, you may think you have a crush on the same gender...
I've had it, my friends have had it, many many people get it.
Some people dont - but ALOT do.
This is called 'growing up' - you may get feelings for other people, but they arn't always permenant. It doesn't always mean your gay or lesbian or bi.

BUT EITHER WAY, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP HIGH, YOU'VE NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF!
Don't let pixels go to your head.

That's right Andy! :p I couldn't have put it in better words myself.
I was so scared of telling my mum, but when i told her, she wasn't shocked or suprised, i guess she always knew. And she has took it really well.
As for friends, they have took it twice as better as my mother. I guess everyone needs a camp friend everynow and again

    Lol yer.
When we do presentations at school in english, quite a few did their on how they hated gays, or how being gay should be punishable by law.

No one should be beaten up because of anything like sexuality or racism..

In my eyes, calling someone a fat you know what is fattist..

So calling someone a black you know what is racist..

Etc, I see insults as serious as eachother, but homophobic isnt called for.
God didn't make the world and say, right, thats normal - that isn't.

Whos to say girls and boys having relationships is more normal?
It's not, its just more comman..;>

Stupid way the world works xP

Anyway, if you ARE gay, bisexual or lesbian, you have just as much right to be happy as anybody else!

So keep your head up high!
