I know "friends forever" sounds corny, but I thought it was true.
Now you're with your "new friends".
You just blow right by me like i'm transparent.

I've heard the things that you say.
How you like to drink, you like to party.
You talk about how I'm a loser, i'm worthless to you.
And because I don't get high every week, I'm not cool enough for you.

And it hurts,
You were my best friend since well forever.
We went on Holiday together, we stayed up late laughing until our bodies ached.
I knew your deepest thoughts and desires, and you knew mine.

But now it's like high school changed you.
You didn't talk to me all summer.
And you tore me down when I approached you at school.
You act like I am a stranger, but I must admit, you are a stranger to me.

We used to say how we would never date soemone like that, hang out with someone like that,
But you do.
You found the guys who sleep around, the ones that deal, and you made them yours.
I'm so worried for you, that you'll get hurt. But you don't care if I get hurt, do you?

So what makes me care for someone so cruel?
It's because you'll always be my friend.
You may be lost right now, in a world of smoke and intoxication,
but if you cuss me one morning, and need help that night...
If that guy has just past your limit and you need a way out, I'm coming.

I don't care how many shots are in you,
or how many times you called me a stuck up *****, I'm helping you.
There's not enough pride in me to make me not come to your rescue.
Cause even though your mind is cloudy, I remember when we said, "Friends Forever"
No matter how corny it sounds.
