Default The best movie-remake this year?

We all know how many movie remakes there have been this year. Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Fun With **** and Jane, The Fog, House of Wax, The Longest Yard, Yours Mine And Ours, The Producers, King Kong, some of those havent come out yet.

Which do you think did the best remake? I didnt do a poll because I know there have been more than 10, just state why

Of the ones that have come out, I thought The Longest Yard was the best remake. Chris Rock played a very good roll, and the only thing unbelievable about Sandlers Acting, was a 5'9'' 140 pound quarterback? Yeah right... but didnt distract me from the movie itself.

However, even though it hasent come out yet, I think the remake of Mel Brooks's classic movie The Producers will be the best. It has Will Farrell, Matthew Brodrick and Uma Therman, it should be hillarious. Link Here. I think King Kong isnt going to be as good as the commercials and the hype say it is, just a feeling though. King Kong is going to be 3 hours, and Jack Black is the only person I recognize acting in it. Im going to see it, and it will probably be good, but I dont think it will be unbelievable like some people are expecting.

Remakes annoy me, usually when people run out of ORIGINAL ideas..
War Of The Worlds was too American for me.
Now the Jeff Wayne musical of War Of The Worlds... Now THAT is cool...

The only remake I've seen this year is Charlie and the chocolate factory, so I'd have to say that.

Yes it is...And I prefer the original.
and CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY WAS NOT A REMAKE!
The musical version of charlie and the chocolate factory was very different, and hardly like the book at all.
The Tim Burton version was an adaptation of the book, not a musical, and not a remake of the previous film.

I'm looking forward to the chronicles of narnia, as soon as work gets the prints, i'll get to see it, woot!

I agree with Nekkle, i think War of the Worlds was the best remake.

First of all it started off as a radio show in the early 1900's, alot of people got scared and believed that aliens actually existed ;o.

Then there was a movie of it as Nekkle said in 1953 and now the remake which i really enjoyed. =D
