You better thank me for this.

First you need to download a skin from Invisionize.com or a skin site of your choice.
The skin should be in a .zip file. If you do not have a .zip extractor, like WinZip, you need to get it, and extract it to a folder on your computer.
Once the file has been extracted, there should be two .xml.gz or .xml files.
Then you need to login to your IPB admin. Once you have logged in, look in the side bar. Open the Skins & Templates menu. Then, in the Skins & Templates menu... click on Skin Import/Export.
Once you are there you shoud scroll down and see two places where you can upload files. The first one should say 'Import Skin Templates' and where it says 'Upload XML Template set' browse your computer and open the file that starts 'ipb_skin-'. (The other should start with ipb_images-). Then you need to click 'IMPORT SKIN XML'. After that, go back to 'Skin Import/Export'. This time, you want to go to 'Import Skin Images' and browse the skin folder again, but this time for a file that starts with 'ipb_skin-' and click 'IMPORT SKIN IMAGES'.

    THIS IS IMPORTANT!
Once you have done all of that. Look on the side bar again, under 'Skin and Templates' click 'Skin Manager'. You should now see the skin you just uploaded. Click on that skin and a small popup window should appear. Click 'Edit Settings...' Now a few options should appear. Look under 'Image Options'. Then look under 'Use image directory?'. On the side there will be something that says 'skin_images/' and then a dropdown menu. Click the drop down menu and see what there is to choose from. Click the one that probably goes with your skin. For example, if the name of your skin is 'CaliSkin' the dropdown menu would say 'cali'. Click 'Edit Skin Settings' and ta-da your done!

Now if you want to make a skin default just go to your skin manager and go to your skin and click the image that says 'Make this skin default...' when you hover over it.

    I hope that helps.
