    Default Commodore Returns!

The 2006 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas certainly did provide a bit of a shock last week.

Under the control of new owners, the video games company Commodore - perhaps most famed for it's popular C64 platform - is planning to soon make it's return to the games industry with a brand new handheld. Currently named the Navigator Combo, the device boasts GPS functions, as well as of course video gaming on the full colour screen that covers the front of the machine. Music and movies can also be transferred to the Navigator Combo, which can all easily be stored on the whopping 20GB hard drive (yes, the same as the Xbox 360).

The console runs on the Windows CE platform, and will come loaded with 5 games already built into the system, as well as 90 more being available for download. Although not the prettiest handheld in recent times, it sure seems to pack a punch in terms of specs.

It seems to me like this is over packed for what it actually is an handheld.

Very nice to see a 20 GIG harddrive, but not sure about the outcome of the whole console
