Default How do magic boxes work?

You know those boxes that are upright (dang can't remember the name)? The ones magicians use? They insert blades and dismember the boxes, when one part of your body is one way the other will be like completely off. Well I want to know how those work.

Probably something to do with mirrors.

You would think that those kind of tricks have amazing explenations, but most dont.

I'm talking about the vertical one, not the horizontal one. And no its no mirror effect.

Well alot of it relies on the flexibty of the woman in question, allowing them to bend around saws etc (the reason all the assiatnce in it are very skinny), plus they often use more than one person when doing it in a complex way, which are consleaed behind the boxs, so as to ad limbs in places it may be immposible to get otherwize.
Althogh it again depends on whos doing it, since many tricks now days, cheat via anamatronic parts "/
Its basicly to do with the audiances positioning, which then allows the madition to cleverly conseal parts, which would overwize give away how it worked "/

I looked on Wikipedia before I posted this thread, I know...

    Ok heres an example:
Remember the episode of Full House? When Rebbecca was in the box sticking upright? He even spinned the box around to show that there wasn't any trick.

On the show on Discovery channel where the magician did that aswell?

Well, you guys are saying "the positioning of the audience affects the trick" well, by me saying that that doesn't matter what position the audience is sitting.
