School toy fads...

Just wondering if any of you guys had these things before they died out...


First it was the tamgotchi that was around '97 I think, quite popular, I remember everyone would be like 'Mind my pet whilst I go on holiday' scary...

Then it was the whole pogs fad, which was around '98 can't remember tbh, but yeah, you'd come into school with a plastic tub with all your tazos in and stuff and metal shinys :x

Then pokemon cards around 2000 - massive phenomena. I was one of the first batch in britain to get a shiny mew FACT

Then the new brand of yoyos which could do loads of tricks, also 2000.

Then those weird sticky alien things that you wrapped up in goo :/ some of them gave birth apparently. Can't remember when these were around, I just remember being obsessed with them in school.

Those were the main things in primary school anyway, fun fun fun!

I used to be hooked on Pokemon cards! I had likez loads of shinys!

I found my alien thingy a few months ago. I threw it up and it stuck 2 the cieling :rolleyes: then it got stuck and left a big black mark. So i did it again. Then theres a alien shaped mark on the wall aswel :]

I remember in '98 and I was a sticker collector (Premier League '98 stickers) and someone nicked them.
So then the headteacher came and said "Jonathan, are these any of your stickers?"
Then I just picked 2 random ones.
