Help with cute news!

I need to install cute news onto my new Habbo Fansite, but I dont know how to CHMOD the folder, because everytime it tries to connect it just disconnects the next second (literally) Anyone help? Btw im using SmartFTP v2.0

if your ftp is disconecting it looks like it could be a problem with your hosting's server.

Im sure you know how to change the CHMOD when connected, if not reply and i'll tell you how

i really doubt you can use cutenews with freewebs and can u actually use FTP for freewebs? :s

i installed it but i cant remember if i had to create a database or not.

Also i think it is php which most free hosting wont allow.

Yeah, I dont think so I read a tutorial and it used freewebs as an example of one of the free hosting sites that wont work with PHP

If you need cutenews, just do this :

1. Sign up to ripway.com
2. Login to FTP
3. Upload cutenews and CHMOD it
4. Install it
5. Link it to your freewebs news page
6. Enjoy cutenews X)

Ripway is a good free hosting company without ads. I suggest you use it if you have HTML and PHP skills.
