Not me I'm from Italy we got really different schools from uk's ones etc.

A get a test all the time or so it seems. I've been doing factorising for months and getting help from the teacher but a still cant do it Lol factorising takes years to master! lol

By mid-terms do you mean half term? In the UK this is normaly say after christmas holiday and before easter holiday, in the middle it is called half term and lasts for a week normally.
