jst a wee question

hey all,

I'm pretty new to runescape. a lvl 45 but my stats arn't really gd at all, I was jst wondering if any1 could answer a few questions for me.

I have looked up some users in the highscores who are of similar lvl to me and they have much better combat stats. however tehy are still at the same lvl as me.
could anyone explain how the combat level increases in relation to what?

Simple answer to that, there called pures.

A pure account is normally when the user has 1 defence and 1 prayer, allowing them to have much higher other stats (magic, range, attack or str) the mainly used ones. If the user doesnt use prayer they wont get combat levels for prayer and same for defence allowing them to have such a low level with good stats.

simple, if you had 1 def and 1 prayer you'd be about 10 levels lower, in that case you could use those 10 levels to get up str and attack other than prayer and def (less useful). Thats why some people can be your level and have 60 attack and 55 str.

edit, but... how do tehy get there hitpoints up so high tht way then??

They train att/str/range high so that they get a lot of hits exp aswell.

For example 60 att and 50 str would give more hits exp than having say 40 att 40 str 40 def because you need more exp for higher levels.

Does your combat increase if your levels are around the same? Like if you had 60 attack, and 1 defence, could you then train defence to 60 and only go up a few levels? If so, you could train a skill to 99, then train all t he rest up and stay at level 49 or whatever.

it is also because u have prayer that made u gain 3 combat levels

is there any kinda detailed guide that tells you teh ins and outs of experience and how it affects your combat lvl?
