My Marks.

I've tried really hard to ace my subjects this semester, I've gotten 90+% in all my subjects except Math which I have a 88% currently. That means I am acing all my subjects, yet my parents say it still isnt good, now i need your opinions, is it fair that i work so hard and yet i get treated like if i'm failing? I think this is absolutely proposterous. Please give me your views, thanks.

I don't understand how your parents can be mad at you even though you're basically passing. All I need to have to get approved by my parents is an 80%+ :s

Oh come on! What more can they expect from you. Your marks are fantastic!!! Ask them if they get 100% in every subject and if they say yes, tell them to show you proof (which I doubt they will have). BTW, what year are you in?

o_o My parents are happy as long as I pass. I guess your parents have higher expectations. Have you tried telling them that you think they expect too much from you? I mean, wow, you got good marks dude. Explain to them you tried your best.

My parents are a bit like that. In the first 8/9 years of school I was top in everything and got the best marks etc., then I started slipping and they haven't quite grasped the fact that I'm not 100% all the time any more. I pass all my exams, even get A's in many of them, but they still say every time "that's good but you should get A's in all subjects". Hardly fair I think.

Yup, I've tried explaining that they are STILL A's but they just don't understand, they thing 89 and below is like a C or something...

hmmm why dont u try asking them some of the questions that you have got right? (make sure its the hardes question you can answer) then, if they get i wrong, you can show them that you knew the answer.

this would prove you are doin really well and you even know things that they dont! how much more proof could they ask from you!?

but dont be too hard on them. they probably know they are good marks, but they want you to be the best that you can. maybe they know you can do even better.
