What do you think it is?
DISCUSS HERE:
Live life the way you want to. Dont be influenced
You're born, you have fun. You die.
I believe in fait and i believe your life's path is 'carved' before your even created, everything happens for a reason, there's definately something AFTER this life [heaven/hell etc] and i believe that you MUST experience pain. without pain we'd resemble robots, with the feeling of pain you then know what love and happiness is.
Besides the faith and religion crap, there is some truth to that last sentence. There are many things people use to make them feel better- a vice that holds them together. Whether its drugs, sex, religion, TV, people use these things to bring one closer to a state of perfection. It liberates us but in reality, it's nothing more than making you numb, inabriate and more mechanical, where one must have a 'fuel' of some sort to keep living. Sex to heighten our emotions, injecting drugs into our veins, or thinking that theres a higher power to make yourself feel better about your actions. We use these methods and crutches to try to reach this perfect intangible state being but instead bring us further and further away from it because these things are a synthetic and induced happiness, as well as completely temporary, where the constant need for them makes us more like soulless machines.Originally Posted by Drooped

But your expressing what i said in a different way than what i meant. I'm talking about natural NOT artificial. Love, hatred, sad, joy, pain. If you didn't experience berievement, would you value someone close to you as much as you did after the berievement? If you didn't feel sadness through say... falling out with your parents, would you still know how good happiness is? If you didn't experience pain through assault/ genuine accidents would you value your good un-hurt times?
I'm saying without feeling pains in it's forms, or emotion in it's forms, you wouldn't be able to value happiness, as it'd just be NORMAL. with pain you gain two things, experience and the ability to know whats good and bad.
To have fun. Im not wasting my life worshiping a god that might or might not be true, that the past the rock on the future =]

If you read correctly, you will see that I said.. "there is some truth to your last sentence."
That means some of the content in your paragraph is of interest to me while everything else is tedious and unimportant to me.
And surely all your feelings won't be naturally induced in life. :/ I'm sure if you're not Amish your influences are artificial many times, ergo, producing synthetic emotions.
