    Default 1and1 Domain Registering [ problem ]

Ok, I bought a domain from 1and1.com yesterday. It says its registered and whatever, but I can't connect to the FTP. This is my domain:

    www.vestigems.com

^ Not an advertisement, nothing on it >.>

I get on the ftp and then I get this message:

    Status: Resolving IP-Address for vestigems.com
    Status: Connecting to 74.208.121.206:80...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
    Error: Connection timed out
Error: Could not connect to server

do you know what is wrong? I can't figure it out.

EDIT: Also might be wrong spot, i couldnt decide which place i should put this >.> just move to the correct place if this isnt it.

1and1 is really bad, dont get hosting with them -if you fail to pay they take all your domains. They are very sad.

Likely that he got the web hosting and domains in a package... so when he didn't pay for that package they both got removed.

My experience with 1and1 was good - except it takes around 10 hours for domains to be registered with them, then another 10 hours for them to propagate to nameservers.

You must have hosting for that domain, and you must wait until the nameservers pointing the domain to the hosting are completely resolving before you will be able to connect through FTP.

However, seeing as when you try to connect it gets through to an IP, it looks like the nameservers have already propagated - unless they've propagated to the wrong server. If they've propagated to the correct server, then you have a problem with FTP on that server, and I suggest you look for bugs in the config and restart it.
    Kind Regards,

    Guy
