I like this girl we talk alot at the local football and she lives near me, (really close actually). We have been friends for about 8 months since i got back to Australia and we chat on the bus but some reason i can never think of something to say which annoys me alot.

Her birthday was yesterday so i bought her some chocolates and dad said i should get a kiss in return but i didnt.

Anyway to cut a long story short, how should i "ask her out" and what type of "flirting moves" should i make?

With like knowing her for about 8 months..
So I go to these local dances and so does she..
We often flirted and stuff. So just talk about the things she likes and how her day was and stuff.. Turn the attention from you to her, and then.. When stuff get's quiet, just like.. Be like 'Do You Wanna Go Out With Me?'
If she doesnt. That's okay, but just keep flirting with her and be nice to her. That brings your chance of going out with her WAYY Up.

Okay well, just because you didn't get a kiss for giving her the present doesn't necessarily mean she isn't interested, as time's have probably changed sinced your dad was last dating girl's your age! ;] lol

By giving her the present sloghtly shows her that you like her, which is a good start. :]

It's also commona nd understandable, that when your perhaps nervous or trying to make a good impression on her their may be some awkward silences and you maybe can't think of something to say, but don't worry about it. if you just relax and be yourself, you should find it much easier, and you could even think up of a few topics of conversations beforehand to discuss - perhaps the local football team, or just even asking her some questions about herself.

I think you should just get to know her for maybe a wee bit longer then fully decide whether you do like her or not. You could start flirting by perhaps telling her she looks pretty some days, or tell her that her eyes are nice or something... eventually though when you think the time is right, you could maybe say to her you think shes a great girl and would love to take her out somewhere and see how things go from there!

hmm... i agree with ost, also, a girl doesnt want to know shes "hot" and all the rest of the silly words alot of boys use. a girl wants to know she is beautiful, and that you care, and that you are serious.

A thing girls hate is men who are too clingy, so give her some space, but also try and make an effort for her too. like, ask her round to yours after school 1 or 2 times a week, maybe go out to the cinema, shopping etc every other weekend so she has time for her friends too.

always try to understand her, and always make sure she is okay too as girls often expect boys to read their minds

The answer is simple, next time you two are alone, knock her out with a brick, tie her up in your basement and torture her till she says yes.
