    A poem written for my dog who was put down this morning

    1990 - 2006

    Your tail did wag on a winters day
    You were barking, you wanted to play
    Me just a baby so full of glee
    I wanted nothing but to have you near me
    I'd hug you daily, we were best of mates
    I cried when you left me for those pearly gates
    Sixteen years and a life so great
    Yet I miss you now, but I guess it's fate
    So rest in peace my furry friend
    We'll soon be back together, together in the end
