Hi, and welcome to another exciting edition of the Behind the Scenes. It's September, school's back and the shops are already gearing up for the festive season... but here at Jagex we've been ignoring these mundane distractions to bring you an action-packed September, brimming with Vampyres, Slugs and all manner of oppressed villagers in need of a hero. Yes, we mean you! The free world also gets some updates this month as we introduce a new group of guides and helpers to Lumbridge AND expand our sounds yet again...

If you read it they are expanding their sounds even more!

The way we use sound in the free and members' games will be getting another massive boost from the inclusion of area sounds. These area sounds add a new level of immersion into our game world, with waterfalls growing louder as you walk towards them, trees with birds and animal sounds in them, bubbling fountains, wind whistling through the mountains, the sound of the sea lapping against the shore and mysterious howls haunting the peaks of the Wilderness. It really does add a new dimension to the game, and we have enjoyed developing them immensely.
