    apparently its so mods/s.mods/admins can keep track of your rule breaking. i just think its a reason to ban you [:

    yeah you get them when you break forum rules.

    Exactly.

    If you break a forum rule, then a Forum Moderator/super Moderator/Admin will leave you an infraction which will be held agaisnt you till a later date.

    also If you get so many Infraction in a short period of time you'll end up with a ban.

    Infractions have nothing to do with reputation points. It is just a way to log the number of times you break the forum rules. Once you reach a high number of infractions, an Admin or Super moderator will ban you. This is off course depending when you broke each rule. If you break 10 rules over 3 months, you won't necessarily be banned. However if you break 5 or 6 serious rules a day, you may get banned .

    new version of usernotes.
    they keep record of your rule breaking, for moderators to see.
    so many in a short amount of time equals a ban.

    Also, just to add to my previous post, the ban period is decided on how serious each rule breaking is. If you constantly swear, you will be banned longer (or even permanently) than if you multiple posted constantly.
