Would compact flat land or not as compact slopey land absorb more moisture ?

if it was sloped, any rainwater would flow downhill, so not as much would be absorbed than if it was flat.

But if it was compact water would ran off it and if it was less compact more would soak through.

id say the downhill because the clumps would still absorb it, and if it was flat it would still flow along the ground

Even if the soil was compact, it would still absorb some water. If the land was flat, the water has nowhere to go, so it will be absorbed. If the land was sloped, there would still be water being absorbed, but some of it would also flow downhill.
