    Default Habbox - Brainless?

Is it me or is staff becoming brainless and following their jobs instead of doing what's right? I got infractioned for saying the word r-ape when it's filtered. I was referring to it and said it was bad, I got infractioned because I unfiltered it because otherwise people wouldn't understand what I was saying "/ When I took the matter up with Habbox Staff they replied with:
Thanks. Well the outcome was and Sierk directed upon it that it as it is a filtered word it should not be used and you should try to say something else that would convey what you meant rather than using the filtered word such as 'sexally molesting'. The infraction was deemed as fair.
Well to be honest sexually molested sounds worse than r-ape, and why the hell is r-ape filtered I don't know. So what it's filtered on Habbo? It's cos immature Habbo users say it to users on the game, however this is a forum where you discuss matters of a more civilised matter and the users on here are somewhat more mature. So because a word is filtered on Habbo it has to be filtered on here? This is a poor rule and doesn't serve justice to the members of this forum. At one stage pizza was filtered on Habbo, was it filtered on Habbox? No it wasn't because we discuss pizza, just like I was disucussing r-ape in a fair way and not being immature about it. I firstly believe the filter should be changed and not 'had the same as Habbo' because r-ape is a subject that is discussed worldwide, whether Habbox filters it for some stupid reason or not it is still going to be discussed "/ Secondly I feel that instead of 'staff' here just doing their jobs they should do what is right and if they believe something is wrong then instead of just following their 'job' they should go to a higher management and discuss with them.
If I receive the same rubbish response about 'just doing our jobs' and 'complying with fansite rules' then whoever posts it will just get bad rep "/ I know alot of Habbox users agree with me on this one, even Habbox staff [despite the fact alot of them are ignorant to the fact and just want to keep up with their 'job' so they go higher in their 'habbox-career'] so atleast fairly look over this instead of just looking at it and because I'm not staff her atleast look into it and go by some of the stuff I've said.

I can see why you would want that word and other words unfiltered. I will see what I can do for you however I make no promises (this does not mean the whole filter will be removed, only some specific words).

    Thanks

i agree... i think you should be allowed to get around the filter if using the word properly.. like if i know said the word r-ape without harming anyone or using it in a rude way i dont think i should get an infraction.. but i probably will now lol hehe

I agree a bit. Like whats the point tbh? Cos In Teen Life or Health thingy, people may want to discuss it.
It should be filtered if someones using in a bad manner like -
Im going to *beep* You! But if someones discussing what can happen and their telling their stories, it should be allowed i reckon.

Sierk has already answered this query and I will forward you the pm.

Why are Staff brainless because they follow the rules. They can ask on behalf of members but have to comply with the decision given by the those whose website this is. If staff did what they just thought was 'right' then sometimes they would not be following the laid down procedures and rules and would most likely be fired from their job. To be honest this subject is getting a bit old. I think you have raised it about 4 times now and are continuing because you are not getting the answer you want. Also calling staff 'brainless' is a bit rude isn't it?

For once Craig I disagree with you-Habboxstaff are not brainless or they wouldn't be able to run a forum as succesful as this-You may not like to accept the fact, but they do a bloody good job to keep it up and running as smooth as it is

They are brainless because they are just doing as they are told without questioning things even if they truly believe it is wrong, thus being brainless. And when they do question things and a higher staff rejects their beliefs they just let it pass by. Sure you have to comply but seeing as you are the staff who are most active you truly know what's in the best interests in alot of the stuff instead of a owner who doesn't use the forum as much as his workers. I am not telling you to exactly do what is right and change rules straight off but if you think that saying r-ape is bad is worth an infraction then you must be pretty brainless - no matter if it is against the filter[which is shouldn't "/] This subject may be old to you as I have raised it twice, maybe even 3 times. But just because you say no the first time does it mean my opinion is going to change? No ofcourse it isn't so I'll come back with my case and argue it even more. Also I didn't call staff brainless I just pointed out they are becoming brainless.

I can accept the fact this forum is successful but what I can't accept is that certain staff go out of their way to follow the rules instead of standing up for something they believe in, just to someone above them over a forum.

Thank-you ---MAD---, lets hope you can sort this out as it is rather stupid having a certain word like that filtered because it is mis-used on Habbo, not Habbox.

lol it's stupid how they stick to the habbo way so much, when they're never going to be an official fan site again.
