This has got something to do with shoutcast.
Alot of people install SAM Broadcaster on the VPS, upload music and have SAM connected to the radio to give non-stop 24/7 Music.
No idea why, when you can just use sc_trans

I use one because IIS is more powerful and easy to administrate then apache. Also you might want one because you can run ASP and ASP.net scripts on it.
Just to point out that that is is VERY simple to install PHP or anyother application on it - its just like installing some software on your PC unlike linux where you have to go through some complicated installation at a command line.
