Habbo is blaming Rasta Santa for fake Mod alerts!

But yeah, that's rather, erm... fake!

A few Habbo's have asked Rasta Santa for something that temporarily gives them fake Moderator Rights.

And Rasta Santa? Well, what can we say... he has learnt from this experience and ensures it was only the pressures of trying to make it snow that led to his mistake!

At the moment there are users in the Hotel that can send messages to other Habbo's in the room that look like Moderator Messages, or make it appear as though you have a massive amount of Habbo Credits in your purse, or even zero Habbo Credits.

This is all fake and does not come from a real Moderator. They don't have real powers, they can only do fake stuff to Habbo's in the same room. Habbo is and still will be completely safe to use.

So if you run into weird Mod alerts then you should have no worries. Your data is kept safe and unharmed.

What CAN they do:

- Make Credit amounts in other Habbo's purse look different to what they really are
- Send a mod alert to users in the same room
- Make another Habbo's friends list appear empty

What they CAN'T do:

- Ban users
- Truly change your Habbo Credit amounts
- Pick up your Habbo Furni
- See your password or personal information

In short, there is nothing for you to worry about, Habbo Hotel is still completely safe and these temporary problems will be resolved very shortly. Meanwhile, Rasta Santa will get back to answering proper Christmas requests like UKChaserAl's desire for a pony! Perhaps he will even manage to make it snow now?
