    This is a real question to awnser.
    How did many fansites and stuff get populer?

    I've added myself into about 1mill directies (with paid)
    Told local friends, told online users.


    Sent loads of email's out to people.

    What else can I do to get

    Content. To get any forum up and running it needs to be interesting and that means content. Without content people will just leave and not bother to look around and register.
