If you don’t feel like waiting another 10-12 months to give it a look, you can now download an alpha release of Firefox 3, code-named Gran Paradiso. (In case you’re curious, Gran Paradiso is a mountain range in the Grarian Alps. Firefox 2’s code name was Bon Echo.)
The biggest changes, at least for the Windows version, will be the new Gecko 1.9 layout engine and the use of Cairo as the default graphics library. For more about the first alpha release of Firefox 3, read the CNET editor’s take from Robert Vamosi.
