Default Bury thrown out of the FA Cup

Bury have been thrown out of the FA Cup for fielding an ineligible player in their 3-1 second-round replay win over Chester City on 12 December.
Chester have now been reinstated in the competition and will play Ipswich in the third round, as well as receiving the prize due to second-round winners.

Bury have been given leave to appeal against the decision, with any hearing scheduled for Thursday 28 December.

The player is Stephen Turnbull, who is on loan with Bury from Hartlepool.
Fairly tight on them but suppose its their own fault...

A tad harsh but what else can you do? Other than a replay.

Bury will be gutted if Chester beat Ipswich then draw a prem team.
