When i got my 360 i got a free lead with it, i think it is for xbox live but i aint sure. If i just plug it into to modem will xbox live work1?!?!

I rang up AOL cos my internet wasn't working once (it was their fault) and then I asked for a free wireless router, and tadaaa, elliot is on xbox live

You need to buy a 12 month xBox live subsription thing, I think you can buy in like 2 month's and stuff.

Or just buy 1 year.

If you have AOL (USB Modem) like I. Then you can plug the ethernet cable into the back of your 360 and then into a spare ethernet port in your tower. If you don't have one you need to get another network card or get another modem.

Also if you only just got it for Christmas i heard that if you register yourself for Xbox live silver it gets upgraded to xbox live gold for the first month.

If you buy the Premium Pack like i did then you get 1 Month of free Gold Access, then its silver forever unless you upgrade it to Gold...
