Well I can think of 4 "best of" lists off the top of my head where it's #1, so obviously it's extremely highly thought of. It's personally my second favorite album ever, but it takes a few listens to really start to get it. Plus, it isnt really the most upbeat album on earth. The only songs on it that are really on the fast paced or upbeat side are Electioneering and Airbag.

Uh, to be honest it depends on what type of music you like. If you like more upbeat stuff, I'd go with their album The Bends, that one's also highly thought of. But if you want to hear something different, I'd definatly go with OKC, just dont dismiss it after 1 listen.

And yes, most people consider it their best album, but it depends on who you ask. All their albums are so different from eachother, everyone has a different favorite.

I agree with you, whilst they are a good band I don't think they deserve the religious following they receive. Tbh, I've never got the appeal in them that much.

They could be, but I dont really think so. Yeah, they are considered to be the greatest band on earth by a few people, but if you look how they came about it, its pretty incredible. They were thought to be a one hit wonder with Creep, then got more and more popular. They dont have a flashy website or a myspace page, they do very litte interviews on television and have very little promotion, their songs are never played on the radio and are very un-people friendly. And lets face it, the band members arent the most good looking people on earth. You dont hear "OMGZ THOM YORKE IS SUCH A HOTTIE" on many forums like you do with most popular bands. They've only had 1 album ever to get into the top 10 on the charts, yet for some reason, they are that popular?

I dont hate you, dont worry. I would agree, but I dont see how they could possibly be that popular for no reason.

Thats what I thought at first too, but they are actually pretty good. You just need time to ajust. I actually dislike Pablo Honey, it isnt very good. But The Bends and OKC are great. The latest 3 arent as good as them, but they are still decent. Kid A I can see why people dislike because its so weird and has such heavy experimentation, but I still love it. Amnesiac is alright, and Hail To The Theif is pretty good. That one goes back to the good old guitar-driven radiohead.

I cant wait for the next album. I heard some of the ones they performed live, they sound great.
