Yeah I play drums!
And to be honest everyone always says "guitar is soo much harder than drums" but I don't think it is that much different. They have to move just their hands on the strings where as we have to keep the timing of upto 4 movements - right hand, left hand, right foot & left foot.
Well if your looking for a good cheap one, try www.ebay.co.uk or www.ebay.com if you live in the US. There's alot of 'Shops' on ebay that specify in drums and they offer good cheap reliable beginner kits!

The thing with drums is the co ordination and doing numerous things at once. If your willing to put in the time and effort though, just about anyone can teach themselves how to play them given the time!

Exactly, and drummers are told that it's more difficult to play guitar[mainly by guitarists ha] which is stupid. And if you are going to teach yourself I'd recommend getting a 'Metronome' as that will help with timing.
