    He's the story:
I first met this girl at my best friend's birthday last year, and even though we didn't talk, the next day she asked him for my msn. Anyway we got chatting and about a month or so later we met up, and we had liked each other since we first met and ended up seeing each other (not going out) but then one night we decided to just be friends as we were so close and it was a mutual decision. More recently she has split up with her boyfriend but I don't know how long ago it was as I only found out two or so days ago. Now I still really like this girl and I don't know whether I should ask her out yet or if at all. Opinions.

    Perhaps leave her awhile?

She might not want to dive into another relationship so sudden.

I agree with Nickie, leave it a while; then tell her how you feel and see what she says.
