My Guardian Angel.

You are my guiding angel, We'll never be apart,
You're here with me each day, I hold you in my heart,
You protect me with your shining wings,
You gave me the purest of golden rings.

You told me our love would never tether.
You told me this would last Forever,
Your loving hand pressed upon my cheek,
Made my knees tremble and become so weak.

That day you left I will never forget,
And yes it's true I will forever regret,
Not returning your words of 'I love you'
When our love was at it's strongest, too.

For now you are gone and you're somewhere safe.
And I have prayed and have such faith,
In you my darling angel, so bright.
As you dissappear into the heavenly light.

The tears I cry are but for Love,
But as I wipe them with my glove,
I remember the love that we once shared,
The time I knew I need not be scared.

If I carry you around locked up in my heart,
I know not even the most breaking of parts,
Can hurt me for you are my Guardian Angel,
And you will guide me through, I am your damsel.

So hold me close tonight, my love.
Now go be free, like an angelic dove.
