    Default 1337 Talk

    Okay seriously, am I the only person is getting tired of massive 1337 talk!? All the forums I go I see a thread with LOL, ROFL, PMSL, And so on, I mean thats okay I usually say lol once in a while but doing things like: pmslllllllllllllllll!!!! or LOLZ! Thats just pushing it, also everybody decides to say smaller version of words instead of the original one, It used to not be a proplme to me, but now its in everyones post, what do you think?

    P.S. I am entitled to my own opinion.

    I usealy only use it to insult the 31337, people since its just a load of script kiddies poor attempt to pretend to be cool back in the days of 95... its even sadder now days.

    Lol, PMSL, ROFL etc arnt l33t speak though, there just acronms.
    LOL = Laugh Out Load.
    ROFL = Rolling On Floor Laughing.
    Nothing to do with the whole elite thing. And personaly i have no problem with the use of useing acronims, its a waste of time to type out a entire setance when 4 letters will do the same job.

    Although i do find the semi-idiotic, lolz, ROFFLE thing annoying, as its just complete and utter idiots who are to stupid and moronic to work out the just acronyms and think they are actually words, then start adding an exstra letter to them, as if it made any slight bit of sence and didnt just make em look like prats. Its like the whole noob thing where people read noob as a word as there to dumb to figure out that the word is actual Noo(new) B(Bee) as in newbie...

    Also i dont see text speak as a problem, its useful on phones if you aint got predictive text as there keys aint really much cop for typeing, if you have a keyboard, typeing out the words properly doesnt really take any longer and is just easyer imo o.0

    Lol, the first two examples are slang not leetspeak. Who on earth still uses leetspeak anyway? I never see it anymore haha.

    i use it to take the mick out of people sometimes
    i find it funny when people that are known to shorten words start adding letters to make it longer than it originally is, or just replace a letter, lyke this
    theres just no point

    As long as I can read what they are saying, and it doesn't take me ages to decipher to read what they haven posted (like it did with the above :p) then I don't care whether or not people use "1337" speak or shorten their words with things like "lyk" and stuff.
