Default Got my GCSE Science module results back

Well as you might know, some ED-EXCEL GCSE courses consits of 6 Tests throughout the year, 2 each term.

The top 4 heighest you made on all of them go towards your final mark.
I heard that it makes your whole grade up if you took double science. Then the other 2 papers in the summer Take up the other GCSE grade.

Well i got my reults back for last term
    Biology - 37/40 (H)
    Physics - 30/40 (H)

I'm sitting the next ones in march, for biology and chemistry. Eeek!

Anyone else get their results back!

    Got my module results back today and all but they are for AQA, not ED-Excel, but it is similar as we do six tests a year, two a term, except they all go to the final grade and we do an additional two coursework pieces which go towards the grade, anyway I got;

    Chemistry 40/50 - A
    Biology 45/50 - A*

    I was well chuffed

Got Biology and Physics in March

We use edexcel, the dual award thing right? ours is a bit differant, you have 4 tests in each science thruogh the year(s) marked out of 30, your highest mark in each science goes through as your coursework or something right?

Well in my first one for each science i got:

    Biology: 23/30
    Chemistry: 28/30
    Physics: 26/30

I was pretty happy and well done on your results.

Year 10's now do a different course to those in Year 11. I got my Module results back from the last tests i took.

    Chemistry - 18/20 - A*
    Biology - 16/20 - A
    Physics - 15/20 B

I heard your course is alot harder to get a higher grade on because its out of 40 or w.e?

oh yeah we were talking about that, i'm yr 11 now and supposedly the new science is basically "pub" science and is more discussion than learning proper science so my teacher says. "Supposedly" easier aswell. No fair, i'd prefer it to the rubbish we're doing atm

Mine was out of 50 and I wouldn't say it was extremely hard as they spread the difficulty of the questions throughout the paper but the grade boundaries are tight for example you had to of got 95% to get an A* and 85% to get an A.

It's changed for year 10's so that it's easier for, less able students to get a E-C, but harder for more able to get an A-A*

    Which is kind of unfair?
