PHP Sockets

Gah, Forget the coding section.

Does anyone know how I can use sockets in php to send data to a Winsocket server. (Yes its for a retro).

Im setting up a housekeeping system and I need to be able to send alerts and stuff to the server, but I cant figure it out.

Please dont post any links from google as obviously ive read most of them.
